That awkward moment when you think you’re cool for sketching E-40 on your report card before re-naming it “My Ghetto Report Card”.
When I picked this up today, I wasn’t expecting to learn as much from it as I did. For one, I learned about sixteen different kinds of houses, where they were traditionally built, what they’re made of, and why they were built in such a way. My favorites were the Dutch houseboats, the Pueblos and the Venetian Palaces. Some people may argue that picture books are kid stuff, but I disagree. Picture books are a great way to learn a thing or two, and I think the pictures make their messages easier to remember.
We have so many mediums for ideas: text, photographs, charts, skits, artwork, comics, so on. Yet books like to emphasize one medium-text. In this day and age, especially with the advent of computers- you would think that we would take more advantage of multimedia publishing; especially in the field of textbooks. I think I want to take this on… Support me?
Oh, shit no. Why can’t we have cool guys for president anymore? Like Andrew Jackson, or Ron Paul?
